Our Painting Process: From Design File to Finished Canvas
Design Submission
You submit your design files to our studio. We recommend software platforms MacStitch & Stitchly. If working from a painted master, we can also match from a physical sample. Our team reviews each submission for canvas readability, color count, and size requirements.
Quote and Approval
You receive a detailed quote based on design complexity, canvas size, mesh count, and color quantity. We provide per-piece pricing so you can plan margins accordingly.
Master Painting
Our artists paint a master proof of your design. This proof is sent for color approval and detail verification. Once approved, the master is stored in our studio as a permanent reference.
Batch Production
With the master approved, production begins. Each canvas is hand painted to match the approved proof, with strict quality control checks for color consistency.
Delivery
Completed canvases are quality inspected, carefully packed, and shipped directly to you.
Seamless Reorders
Your approved master remains on file in our studio, allowing future reorders to be produced quickly and consistently.
Materials and Specifications
We paint on high quality Zweigart mono deluxe canvas on 13 and 18 mesh, which cover the vast majority of designer requirements. 13 mesh is the most popular choice for ornaments, pillows, and larger projects, while 18 mesh is preferred for detailed designs, small ornaments, and fine detail work.
Turnaround, Minimums, and Capacity
We designed our studio operations specifically for the needs of needlepoint designers who need flexibility without sacrificing quality.
Standard Turnaround: Approximately four to ten weeks from master approval to delivery. Rush orders may be accommodated depending on studio capacity.
Low Minimums: We support small batch production for emerging designers testing new collections. Current minimum is 10 units per SKU design.
Seasonal and Market Deadlines: Whether preparing for market, a trunk show, club, or holiday inventory, we schedule production to meet your deadlines.
