This painted canvas is a part of my Art History 101 Series: it is inspired by Picasso's famous lithograph, 'Dove and Girl' (shown below!)
The canvas measures approximately 4.5 x 4.5 inches and is painted on 18 count mesh.
Marquin Campbell is an artist and needlepoint designer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. Marquin studied Drawing and Painting at The University of Georgia and went on to study Fashion Designs at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
She has been stitching for over twenty years and sees her needlepoint design work as a wonderful blend of her painting background merged with her design background. She is drawn to colorful creations rooted in classic style.
