Stone Rolled Away

Hi, my name is Anna! I have always had a passion for painting and needlework so combining the two hobbies was inevitable! I am from Raleigh, NC and in addition to being a designer, I am a wife and mom and also work full time in HR focusing on Talent and Leadership Development. The motivation and inspiration to start @annamckenziestudio came after having my daughter, where I was craving a creative outlet. Motherhood has reminded me daily of God's love and unending grace and, like needlepoint, the true labor of love that it is- remembering that each moment (or stitch) is helping build a much bigger picture. I felt like the needlepoint world could use some Jesus-loving canvases for the everyday aesthetic and thus my journey began! Since then, I have enjoyed creating custom canvases and growing my collection of designs. The goal for my brand and hope for my designs are to inspire you to lean into the ordinary moments while also encouraging you to celebrate all the fun, quirky things and little memories that shape your life, remembering that it all points back to Jesus.
